Is this a nonprofit or a business?
All of the projects in the 10 Top 10 Lists series, including 10 Top 10 Lists For Cat Lovers, are divisions of BellaLife Studios, which is a Canadian company.
Why does this company donate 50% of it's sales to nonprofits?
Although many would disagree, there are a few reasons we hold fast to our mandate of donating half of what we receive.
- The first is that we believe money should be directed, used, and kept moving. It doesn't accomplish any good when it's just sitting still.
- Second, we believe in the theory of abundance: the more we give, the more we get... and then the more we can give, creating a cycle of giving and receiving that benefits many.
- Also, we sincerely enjoy giving money to people who will put it to good use. It's the best part of our job.

How do you choose which nonprofits to donate to?
Each project has a donation niche: for this one, obviously, it's cat rescues and shelters and we have a some specific guidelines, please see our Fundraising page on this site. In general, for all our projects, we look at a number of criteria, as well as using online charity rating resources such as Charity Navigator and Charity Choice. Some of the aspects we consider are work both done and planned, how long in operation, number of paid employees vs. volunteers, monetary needs, past and current support and sources, and public accountability. We do our absolute best to ensure that we only donate to legitimate, honestly run groups that really are making a difference, not just pretending to or worse. The size or geographical location of a nonprofit is not important to us, we support big and small all over the world. We do not support nonprofits with religious or political associations.
Why do you only use Paypal to transfer donation funds to a nonprofit?
At the moment, it is the easiest and most economical way to transfer funds instantly. We may be looking at alternative methods in the future, but for now Paypal is the only method we use.
How do I submit a nonprofit for your consideration?

Are there any more 10 Top 10 Lists?
Yes. There are 10 more in production now, scheduled for release within the next 10 months. Now that our Lists For Cat Lovers project is up and running, we are using it as a model for more 10 Top 10 Lists on a variety of topics, with a variety of causes to support. 10 Top 10 Lists For Dog Lovers, 10 Top 10 Lists For Horse Lovers... For Writers, For Artists, For Gardeners...we've only just begun!
We know that each project has great potential to provide financial assistance to groups specific to each topic, while at the same time providing a useful and valuable resource for the target audience. It's a win-win situation!
Our mandate of donating 50% of sales (rather than profit) each month will be consistant for each project, as will our committment to offering an easy to use, interesting and current resource to our readers.
